Minute minder

Submitted by akayan on April 6, 2008 - 5:02pm

I have a job that requires me to remember to do things at certain times of the day. I often get distracted when I'm using my portable apps or surfing the web. It would be great if someone could write a program that runs in the background and that will pop up reminders to do events at certain times of the day using the clock and day of the week. A key can then be hit to cancel that event and to move on to the next scheduled item.

program to archieve mp3s: www.mp3-explorer.com (for example)

Submitted by Master_Ka on April 4, 2008 - 3:38pm

Hey guys!

First a small praise for portableapps: Greate site with good stuff !!!!

And now my idea/wish:
I want to have a portable mp3-archiever on my usb-hard disk. For example the mp3-explorer (www.mp3-explorer.com).
This is a quite old and simple (but genius) mp3-archiver ....

It scans a directory (or more directories) for mp3s, and saves their detailled informations in specific files. Now he is able to display all songs sorted by interpret, genre or album ..... take a look (great program an well arranged!)

Sc1 - a upx compressed single executable file based on the Scite code on sourceforge. http://scintilla.sourceforge.net/SciTEDownload.html. It provides syntax highlighting for about 16 languages (including xml, html, c/c++, c#, java, javascript, vb, vbscript, shell, sql, ruby, python, php, perl) and can be configured to compile & run . Its only about 500k too.
