Got a suggestion for an app that should be portable? Post it here.

It would be great if JabRef was supported.
from http://jabref.sourceforge.org
"JabRef is an open source bibliography reference manager. The native file format used by JabRef is BibTeX, the standard LaTeX bibliography format. JabRef runs on the Java VM (version 1.4.2 or greater), and should work equally well on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X."
It could be nice to extend PortableApps backup/restore to support web-based email accounts thought SMTP/POP3 protocols. Many such emails provide substantial amount of online storage that can be utilized for backup.
PowerISO would be great because of the need for extracting from .iso and .daa formats and it would also save time
Please add RetroShare Instant Messenger to the portable apps.
here you find the script, to make it portable:

It is a serverless Messenger, discussed to be added to OpenOffice Suite, see the forum for that discussion and project start of RooSIM.

would it be possible to have a "virtual desktop" that could virtually reproduce a full GUI from the flash drive complete with backgrounds and themes and therefore no longer see the "host pc GUI" but a "portable pc GUI"
yes i know it has been discussed before but i would like to see a complete gui interface there are a few on the market that are comercially avail but none that are truly portable i want one that ALL data is stored on a usb flash/hdd (i have a 160gig usb hdd so size is not an issue) but not an os that requires boot/admin privalages.
One of the attendees at a PC Workshop had a problem while running Firefox. I use my portable hard drive to run Firefox on PCs at the school which hosts the workshop and I wanted to show him how to run Firefox in Safe Mode. I couldn't see any way to do this. It would be handy to be able to do this with Portable Firefox.
Opera is a web browser much like Firefox, but with some better features.
Opera@USB 9.21 exists here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-SOFTWARE/Internet/Browsers/Windows-Portable-Applications-OperaUSB.shtml
Can we get this added to the PortableApps website at least if not the Suite as well? (I didn't create it but I do use Opera and prefer it to Firefox)
Its already a portable app, http://winscp.net/eng/download.php , and a very nice one at that. I figured since you already are listing Putty for ssh, why not easy gui based file transfering through SSH. The added popularity and traffic might help them out.
I thought I would post here since people often ask about Truecrypt...

Someone has made a GUI for a tool I never knew existed (http://forums.truecrypt.org/viewtopic.php?t=3817&start=98), which seems to provide the kind of functionality I have suggested before as an alternative to drive mounting - since a TrueCrypt volume is just a file, why can't we just edit it using some kind of TC-literate file browser?
Well, now we can.
