Craigslist Reader

I don't have a specific app to request. I use Craigspal a lot, a program that gives advanced features to a craigslist search (but isn't open source, but these are). So, looking for a job, I can search my relevant keywords in multiple cities, and can save the search for future searches. It's an absolute necessity for me...

Wine Portable

Many Programs need to access the registry in order to run and that could be a problem. Why don't you make Wine from a Portable Linux emulator and then, people could have many more apps as Portable apps, or better, just make a portable Linux emulator and the users can do the rest themselves. CCleaner, and other Piriform apps.

Submitted by PhantmKllr on October 1, 2011 - 11:46pm

I fix a lot of computers and I always use the Piriform utilities to perform basic maintenance. It would be nice to have these installed on my Portable Apps flash drive, so I don't have to download and install the software for each computer I work on.

Apps: CCleaner, Defraggler, Recuva, and Speccy.

Licence: Freeware

Website: http://www.piriform.com/products

Piriform provides portable builds of each app (example here: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds ).

The licence states:

Request: Vassal Portable

Vassal is an open-source board game engine that allows you to play board & card games online & via e-mail. It has a crapload of modules (games) that you can pick up & play with others.

It seems like something that would be cool to have in the Portable Apps library, especially for gamers on the go.

It seems to run on Java (which might be an issue), but how hard would it to make this portable?
