LibreOffice Portable

I used to launch OpenOffice Portable from my Win XP desktop. This does now work with LibreOffice Portable any more: an error message complaining on spaces in launch path is displayed (C:\Documents and Settings\username\Desktop\...)

Does anybody happen to know what might be the reason of such a change in behaviour? Is it a PortableApps or a LibreOffice issue?

I mean i find it creat a folder named webkit in my private folder of user.could someone tell me what is it?its myfirst time to use LO,before i use OOo.

How can I make it work with LO Portable?

If not is there another way to get local US help instead of the default web-based help?

Win XP Pro SP3

I downloaded LibreOffice Portable v 3.3 and tried to install it on my USB drive along with several other Portable Apps. I got "Please close all instances of Libre OpenOffice PE and then click OK. The portable app can not be updated while it is running". But it is *not* running. It isn't even installed; this is the first time I've downloaded it.

Help.

They have the same name and icon (writer calc impress)

First of all, sorry for my english, but I'm french and my scolarity is far away !!!

Weell, here is myproblem, i use LibreOffice portable, to replace OoO Portable.
It works fine, but I can Associate the file with the app !
Exemple : windows XP pro does'nt want to associate .ods with Libreoffice !
So tha t when I click on a LibreOffice document it is open with microsoft office GRRRRRR !
I can't associate with LibreOffice, by the windows menu : Tools/files options/Files type :.ods It's exactly the same if I go by right click/open with....

Do you have a solution for me ?

On Win XP Pro 3GHz 2GB Ram, decent computer. BUT is LO really missing the 's' infront and 'w' at the end? so far nothing else running but install and now IE to write this, 1 hour 40 mins just to install and still have about 25% more to install to complete. s-LO-w s-LO-w s-LO-w! OOo still seems open enough to me, and talk about LO running s-LO-w portably, dont think I will be making the switch. Terribly s-LO-w. Has anyone at portable apps asked Oracle if 3.3 could be made portable? right now LO = s-LO-w and not worth using being like 15% freer/open then OOo.

Great ... i belive a lot in this new project of TDF ... but i asked me: was not better just a single language package than a multilanguage installation?

now the installation is more harder and slower for the portable application imho ...

OOo Portable installed on pen drive.
With introduction of LibreOffice the PortableApps.com
doesn't seem to maintain OOo.
I have an impression, if I want to have the newest version,
here is 3.3.0, I need to switch from OOo to Libre.

How is the best procedure for changing my OOo Portable 3.2.0
to Libre 3.3.0?
