Portable App Development

Does FileWriteN function properly holds files without extension? Or maybe I'm missing something else?

Now I am trying to get working language handling with no success yet.

I'm having a hard time understanding XPaths. Would someone mind helping me understand it?

Hi, i was looking for windows 10 theme, because i want to have Windows 10 PE USB with PortableApps autostart, and i want it to looks like same as system.
But i did not found any Win10 theme, so i have created one.

I work for portabilize an app.
For start it the command I take to the desktop icon created by the app installer is:
AppName1.exe --processStart AppName2.exe

I've try to use:
ProgramExecutableWhenParameters
but I've not understand the command very well.

Hi all,

I created a launcher for app which write settings to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\AppName\key
and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AppName\key

Unfortunately when running on Win64 the HKLM reg keys are not backup to portableapp settings and host system registry HKLM keys are not deleted.

On Win32, portableapp backup and deletion is fine. I read around seeing I need to use Custom code. Hopefully someone can help me?

FirefoxPortable.exe burden HDD only after reload Firefox.
If you close Firefox and restart, then it's okay.

Can you add a stetting to configure where the link goes when I click at "Documents", "Music", etc. in the main PA Window? Or is there already an equivalent setting?
The reason is, that I have my documents inside an encrypted volume and I want to access them there when I click on the button at the PA window. The volume is always mounted at the same character (V:\). Therefore it should work everywhere.

The developers of this software http://www.imgpresents.com/wordcomplete/wordcomplete.htm wanted me to contact the developer over here to ask if Portable Apps supports Windows Active Accessibility. I couldn't get their software to run correctly in the few portable apps that I use (Maxthon Browser & QBittorrent).

After installation of FastCopy Portable 3.1.3 https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/fastcopy-portable
both 32 and 64 bit EXE files are same - 32 bit.
In folder App\FastCopy there are two EXE files: FastCopy.exe and FastCopy64.exe, but they are identical (same 32 bit with two names)
