Portable App Development

I used PA.c Installer 2.0.8 to create an instaler of my app, and :

Internal compiler error #12345: error mmapping file (2130376261, 1392768) is out of range.
Size of app's folder is 2.16 Gb!

How do I resolve this problem???

Apparently there may be an issue with the Windows based application just released. Once I can get confirmation either way as to whether it has been resolved I will post it.

I've tried to find if there is anything similar to my question, but couldn't, so here goes:

How can I make the installer install some files, that will be used as user specific setting and that I'd prefer not to be deleted on uninstall, to the "Documents" directory (x:\Documents\BlaBla)?

The question is simple, but I can't find the answer. The app can save to that directory, but there are some files that have to be copied there before starting the application for the first time.

I have created three portable apps for my personal use (two of them are proprietary, so not candidates for "official" portable apps in any case). I used the same method in each case:

• Created PortableApps\AppNamePortable folder by copying from PortableApps.com Application Template (downloaded from the Development page).
• Set up appicon.ico and appinfo.ini in \App\AppInfo\ folder and AppNamePortable.ini in \App\AppInfo\Launcher folder.

When using SingleAppInstance=true, is there an alternative to the horrible error message and beep?

Is there any way to get the running instance to come into focus instead, like installed software sometimes does when it only allows one instance?

Cant recompile the launcher with this release, all I get is
a not-so-clear error from NSIS (probably about Language.nsh),
which persists even with simplified *.ini's.

Today I looked into the source folder of Google Chrome Portable, but it seems that there are only the launcher source files. Is the source code if the (online) installer also somewhere available?

here, the location is wrong. It says it goes into Other\Source but it should be App\AppInfo\Launcher\Custom.nsh.

Hi! I have a game I develop that I want to see portable.
The game itself is already portable, persay. uses only relative paths, and can use it's DLLs from the working directory.
No issue there.

HOWEVER, there is an updater, which is mandatory for continued play of the game.
This updater, written in visual basic, requires a DLL to be registered. It is called Z-Updater, and can be found on sourceforge.

If anyone can edit the source code of the updater to no longer require the DLL, it would be greatly appreciated.
