transfer of applikations from Liberkey to portable apps

I'm sorry if this question is already answered, but I didn't find anything.

I'm using liberkey a long time, but they stopped updating for a to long time now.
I want to transfer all my settings for several applications, for example libre office, firefox, thunderbird ..., to portable apps

How can this be done without problems?

Thanks in advance

Some You Can Move, More Info Coming

As LiberKey's directory layout is based on PortableApps.com Format (they illegally used our apps with our name/copyright/license removed through LiberKey version 2.x), it is easier than you'd think for quite a few apps. So your Firefox profile in LiberKey is within the Apps\Firefox\Data\profile directory and you can move it to Firefox Portable within the PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Data\profile directory after you've installed Firefox Portable and run it once. Same for Thunderbird. LibreOffice can be a little more complicated as I haven't looked into where it is currently. I'll be putting up some information to assist with this tomorrow as well for you and other users.

Note to Forum Moderators: Please leave this post untouched although it mentions the LiberKey illegal software site. I think we can make an exception to assist users looking to save their personal data. Most users probably didn't even know about the publisher's illegal and unethical behavior. And they seem to have jumped ship back in early July leaving their users stuck with insecure and unsupported software, so we should try to help them out.

I also want to clarify

I also want to clarify something. Illegal is a broad term. What LiberKey is doing doesn't respect the license agreements for many of the software they redistribute. In that respect, the developers are violating license and trademark usage laws.

I feel that understanding that is needed, as many have begun believing any "Liberkey is illegal" claims are foul attempts to reduce competition.

Not So Broad

With respect to software, illegally distributing software can mean that someone is violating copyright or trademark law. Violating a license generally falls under copyright law. As LiberKey has blatantly and repeatedly violated copyright law, trademark law, trademark guidelines , software licenses, etc, calling what they do illegal is about as accurate as you can get with respect to software. Just because they illegally repackage software without a price tag attached doesn't somehow make it less illegal.

Their most egregious activities with respect to us - taking our software with our name/copyright/license/splash stripped off and passing it off as their own - seems to be more a part of previous incarnations of their suite. But, in their current incarnation, I've confirmed with multiple publishers that LiberKey is still illegally distributing software. As an example, Piriform just confirmed that LiberKey is repackaging CCleaner, Recuva, Defraggler and Speccy in violation of the license and, thus, Piriform's copyrights. I think they are in the process of cease and desisting them, though I don't know if there is anyone present to remove them from the site.

Some people will always defend illegal software redistribution, regardless of evidence to the contrary. It's been confirmed by multiple entities as well as journalists that LiberKey has used trademarks and software without permission at this point. I've debated publishing a full rundown of LiberKey's illegal use of our software in a 'wall of shame' here ala other open source projects, including proof that they used over a dozen of our apps in multiple versions of their software illegally. But, I think our time is better served drawing attention to what users of LiberKey's software, who are also victims in this, can do to preserve their personal data and start using a legal and properly supported alternative.

Don't waste your time on a "wall of shame"

Just let their domain expire.

Are they done for good?

I feel like, though their project may illegal, they put too much effort into it just to one day stop working on it. I browsed through the forum discussion the other day and it seemed to me like they either all died suddenly, or were pressured/threatened by legal action and decided it would be too much effort to clean their act up. Or maybe their just revamping the whole apps database behind the scenes to make it legal. I doubt they'll be gone for long, though.
