Hey Guys Been Making a lot of my own Personal non Realease
PAF files from Apps That I own...And till now I have always
used HKU's as HKU=HKCU\whatever, then a cleanup. as it says in the
Manual. But now I am finding with this one App that it has to be
in the HKU for it to work Registerd. will not work edited for the HKCU.
I did Read that this can not Be written To...IS this Correct..
am I missing Somthing. if any one has a hint or sugestion that
would be Great. Or am I SOL. Peace Jedione

Help With a HKU.
Why don't you copy your launcher.ini file into a comment between <pre> and </pre> tags so we can take a look and try to help. It might be something as simple as a spelling error. Also, telling us which app it is might help as someone may have worked with it before.
here is the launcher.
like i said to this is for personal use only not sharware
when i run the PAF i am prompted to enter my valid email and serial#
so i do and now the program starts every time. when i go to the
HKU.reg in the registry and DEL it I am back to square one. So
like all others I am running the HKU in the HKCU part but to no avail.
from what i read on the site doing this should work?
I'll post my launcher later so you can look at it but I kinda got the app mostly working (no drivers but I use Windows 8.1 which has built in ISO mount).
It seems to stick but I'd have to look at it.
I wrote batch for this app for OS reinstalls and only backup HKLM and HKCU, and I can reinstall OS, then UltraISO, run batch before run, and have all settings and license (but you have to redo file associations which requires running the app as admin).
Basically any app I can't make portable gets a batch script for saving settings.
There is your problem.
HKU\<user ID>\Software
does not equalHKCU\<user ID>\Software
.HKU\<user ID>\Software
equalsHKCU\Software
.yes that was it . It is working Perfect thank you.
I can mount ISO also! YAY.. Thank you My friend.
