Stellarium logoStellarium Portable 0.11 Rev 2 has been released. It's the popular Stellarium astronomy program packaged with a PortableApps.com Launcher as a portable app so you can view the stars on the go. This release updates Stellarium to the latest version. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Suite. And it's open source and completely free.

Revision 2: This revision corrects an issue with automated language switching and portablization of custom screenshot paths.

It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. The file "Phobos.png" is missing from the Textures directory, which produces an error message in the log file but otherwise remains unnoticed. After adding the missing file from a previous version of Stellarium the error disappears.

This is really something for the builders of Stellarium (they must have lost the file somewhere along the road, I guess) - but in order to let them know about this bug, I'd have to create yet another account to log in to...
