Opera, Portable Edition 37.0.2178.43 has been released. Opera, Portable Edition is a lightweight, customizable browser designed for speed. It's the popular Opera™ web browser packaged as a portable app, so you can take your browser with you and it's in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. It's freeware for personal and business use.

Update automatically or install from the portable app store in the PortableApps.com Platform.

This release drops support for Windows XP and Vista. All Chrome/Blink-based browsers (Chrome, Opera, Iron, Chromium, etc) have done so or will be doing so shortly.

"It has been announced on Chrome Blog that Windows XP and Vista support is ending including security fixes. We do care for our loyal users, which you could recently observe with 12.18 security update. While Opera 36 will be last one with features additions on Windows XP and Vista, we are still going to provide security and crash fixes to XP and Vista platform. You will no not be able to run Opera 37+ on Windows XP and Vista, we advise you update to more recent OS, if possible. Otherwise, we will have Opera 36 for you"
