KiTTY Portable 0.67.3.2 has been released. KiTTY is a fork of the popular PuTTY telnet and SSH client with additional features packaged as a portable app, so you can connect in to your systems on the go. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Update automatically or install from the portable app store in the PortableApps.com Platform.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

KiTTY Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

According to the release notes, this version dropped support for Windows XP. At least Vista is required from now on.
Perhaps the system requirements on the app page should be adjusted.

It's been adjusted. That's my fault as depp.jones let me know but I forgot to update the page last night.

Note that we won't be testing for Windows XP compatibility as projects are dropping support with every new release and often not announcing it. We will adjust app homepages when made aware of it, though.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Since this new version calls itself as invalid executable kittyportable.exe instead of kitty_portable.exe, I believe (or the other way round?) the upgrade broke the app. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling but succeeded only in losing my saved host configurations and keys.

Please create a new topic with a leading [Bug] in the support forum, so that it could be tracked by the bug tracker.

I cannot reproduce this, so we need some more information. It has been kitty_portable.exe since the beginning and nothing has been changed in the latest package. Maybe it's a base app's error.
