Frets On Fire 1.2.451 (Guitar Hero Clone)

PLEASE can anyone create "Frets On Fire" as portable app or can create a launcher?

FretsOn Fire is an opensource Guitar Hero Clone. i know the version 1.2.512 is out now but please use the version 1.2.451 , so then i can use my GuitarHero Mod (it doesnt work with 1.2.512)

the program runs from my USB stick BUT it is creating a userconfig Data (or what ever) on the host computer with all the settings like screensize, language, mod...

Anyway: I second this request. Frets On Fire is a great game (and would be wonderful on the games section of this site)

I'll look into it, it looks really sweet, and it will sure be popular. If there is none already, I'll see if I can get the authors to add in a switch for the settings.

Now everyone stop requesting all these sweet apps, I have too much stuff I wanna do.

Problems

The fonts and songs are not open source. The font licensing allows deriatives to be made granted the Font name is changed completely, but apparently the songs can't be redistributed. I'll look into a work-around.

it was very nice when you can do it.

an idea, create only a launcher with all ini´s and reg´s and put a tutorial in the package, which files came in which folder.

and when anyone want "FoF" as portable version so he need the launcher pack + the original zip files and you have no probs with the rules.

I looked into making this portable months ago. There's hardly any songs available for the game so I thought everyone would get bored with the default 3 songs so I gave up on it.

I was thinking more along the lines of adding songs such as maybe Tunnel by ThirdDay. I have never heard of or played this game, so I can only offer ideas.

they just convert it to ogg vorbus, import it to the game (using the built in importer), and create the frets for it in the creator.

My computer is completely screwed. Getting the parts for a new computer this Saturday and probably getting it built by the next week. At least it's fast and new now
