Chandler

Name: Chandler
Website: http://chandlerproject.org/
Description: PIM, Email-Client, Calendar, Task-List
License: It says Apache Software License, Version 2.0. Thats Opensource, isn't it?

It would be cool, if someone could make that one portable, because is think there is a lack of portable PIMs. Thunderbird + Lighting is kind a poor, and Spicebird not ready, yet.

Wait For Spicebird

I'd say wait for Spicebird. I'm sure Spicebird will come along, but I believe Chandler is still in earlier development too. Chandler's huge, as apposed to Spicebird which is much lighter.

Re: Wait For Spicebird

Yeah, you're right. Spicebird looks more promising. It just have so many bugs, yet... But Chandler has not a real email-client and its large (as you mentioned), so it wouldn't make sense to make it portable.
Perhaps we must be patient. There is no other useful & free Email/Calendar-App out there, right? I mean thunderbird & lightning is nothing, evolution goes bad with windows and isn't up to date,... pfff. I don't want to use outlook, but there is no alternative. I really hope, spicebird can fill the gap, but this will take about 1 year or so. How disappointing.
