Old Emails download again
conundrum - February 6, 2008 - 4:35pm
I am running Thunderbird Portable 1.5.0.10
Periodically, (weekly, monthly), when Thunderbird pops for mail, hundreds of previously read emails from months back will download.
I have set in my client "Leave messages on server for at most 30 days".
My email is hosted off-site. My email provider is blaming Thunderbird.
I looked through the forum and couldn't find anything quite like this. My apologies if I missed something.
Has anyone heard of this?
Thanks in advance for your help!

didn't found a post like this one because this belongs to Thunderbird's forum itself (in Mozilla's website) and this is Portable Apps Forum... BUT, did you checked the option to keep mails on server on Acount Settings on your Portable Th Settings? if that was what you did, you must choose "delete mails from server once downloaded" (or something similar...

It is an issue with Thunderbird itself, not at all related to the portable version. I believe there is an option to delete the mail from the server once it's been read, or once you deleted it. Also, I'd recommend updating your ThunderbirdPortable to the latest version. 1.5.*.* is quite outdated.
