Corrupt Font

Unfortunately, GIMP can sometimes crash when trying to load a corrupted font. GIMP, by default, tries to load all the fonts installed in windows on startup. You can set it to not load fonts on startup using a special switch, but you won't be able to use fonts in images in that case. To do this, copy the GIMPPortable.ini file from your GIMPPortable\Other\Source directory to your GIMPPortable directory. Edit it with a text editor (notepad is fine) and have it read:

[GIMPPortable]
GIMPDirectory=App\gimp
GTKDirectory=App\gtk
SettingsDirectory=Data\settings
GIMPExecutable=gimp-2.4.exe
AdditionalParameters=-f

# This is an example INI and will not work from it's present location.
# For full details on placement and the above options, see the included readme.txt

Then try launching it again. Everything except the text tool should work fine.

And welcome to PortableApps.com Smiling

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

ok

I see.
The FONTs are the problem. I deleted much of not nessesary Fonts now.
Now Gimp starts fine.
Thanks a lot for your help !
