Download GIMP portable Brushes???

I just want to know if I can get more GIMP brushes.

There are several sets

of brushes available on the net for example here. I think copying them to the brushes-directory (/GIMPPortable/App/gimp/share/gimp/2.0/brushes) should work. I dont know if they get deleted by an update though.
