How to make a portable Firefox from a nightly build?

Hi,

I'm currently using Portable Firefox 3.0 Beta 5.

I'd like to try out a nightly build, but I'd like to make it portable first so as not to screw up my installation.

Question: how to do that?

  1. Go to http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/ and download the latest trunk in zip version
  2. Use 7-Zip Portable to extract the contents of the zip file
  3. Copy the contents from the folder firefox to [Firefox Portable Install Folder]\App\firefox

Just remember that PortableApps.com doesn't support nightly builds, and there's no guarantee that it won't let any traces behind after you close it.
