My vote would be for both
My vote would be for both Differential AND Incremental if possible!
Incremental uses less space, but Differential eases restore procedures.
It'll
probably have to happen over a couple of releases to ensure that peoples existing jobs don't get confused, but this will be the eventual goal.

another vote for true incremental (actually want choice)
Here's another user who likes the program but the current implementation as differential (thanks to prior post-er for the wikipedia link) means it takes hours any time I want to back up some small but important changes on my portable hard drive. Ideally we could choose the current method or the true incremental. Maybe to avoid confusion your next version could add "true incremental" to "incremental" and the subsequent version could offer "true incremental" and "differential (formerly incremental)".
