for you Star Wars fans

Click on "Start Menu"> then "Run"> enter this: (telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl) without parenthesis

and then click "Ok". A DOS like version of Star Wars will begin playing. You MUST be connected to

the internet for this to work.

it's a networking protocol

Telnet is a networking protocol. It's often used as a connectivity troubleshooting tool, and apparently also popular for specialized server applications and network administration

here's a wikipedia article about it if you're interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telnet

???

I knew about this, but I still dont get WHY it works.

I don't know

I just saw this posted on Lifehacker. It's under a category labeled "easter eggs."
It was originally about easter eggs in Firefox 3. Check it out, there are hidden eggs in the about:__________ of Firefox 3's address bar.
