OpenOffice will not open on new PC

I have just down loaded OpenOffice but it will not run on my new PC.

It's an HP Pavilion with a 64 bit Quad-core Phenom processor running windows Vista Home Premium.

Any suggestions?

I have the same computer but mine works fine. So I don't think it's the type of computer that's the problem.
