GTK Legacy for running Pidgin on Win 9x - wrong path

Bosanek - July 31, 2008 - 12:29pm

Hello!

According to the instructions here (http://portableapps.com/support/pidgin_portable#win9x), GTK Legacy portable v2.6.10 should "install" itself in "\PortableApps\CommonFiles" directory.

However, it installs itself in "\PortableApps\GTKLegacy" directory. What should I do? Should I rename the GTKLegacy directory to "CommonFiles", or leave it? If I leave it, will Pidgin recognize it and utilize it when started on Win 9x?

You would probably say "try it yourself and see what happens". But I can not do that for two reasons. First, I have no Win9x PC in reach right now, and second, I intend to write prepared and tested portable apps on a CD, what means that I won't be able to make any adjustments later.
