Free Mind and Photoshop look alike

Hi Guys,

I have started to use the portable apps in the last couple of weeks and find it amazing. There are two apps it would be great to have available. Free mind mapping software. and the free version of photoshop.

I am using an 8Gb usb drive and with those 2 apps I would be completely mobile.

Thanks for yur help

since photoshop is closed source it can´t be hosted here, a launcher might be possible, but You´ll have to check the license.

There is a script for a Photoshop launcher by SmithTech http://usb.smithtech.us/apps/scripts.php. But I would go for GIMP myself.

I would recommend GIMP as it is open-source, but as I am much more used to the Photoshop interface I use Artweaver which is not open-source but still free Smile

GIMP Portable Photoshop Layout

If you are used to the Photoshop interface, you might try the GIMP add-on GIMP Portable Photoshop Layout.

GIMP

Thanks to you all.

I have now installed GIMP. I had managed to miss it in the list of portable applications.

Just one small problem I have found and I am sure it's me. I have tried to create a banner with a photo set into one of the layers. I have not found a way to import the picture into the layer.

Is anyone able to help me?

Thanks in advance.

drag the photo from explorer

drag the photo from explorer onto the layer dock, and it will become a new layer.

But there’s no sense crying over every mistake,
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
