I think you're asking for

I think you're asking for help in creating a website and in web design in general punctuation will make your posts much more readable for us users i know it takes a bit longer to type the punctuation but it really does help a lot and can often render a more accurate response or a quicker response because then we dont have to try and guess where a sentence should end

With that out of the way...

http://www.oswd.org/ is a site that has open source website templates

If you want a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) web site editor, use Kompozer Portable from this site. If you want to learn html and code it all, use any text editor.

There are other template sites out there is OSWD doesn't have what you are looking for.

another alternitive...

is to install drupal. althogh it will take away from learning html and stuff (Still very usefull to learn even with a drupal site such as this one), but it will be much easier to install. and it is themeable so you could create your own theme for the site.

otherwise i would suggest learning html and working your way up.

OK maybe You missunderstood me?

Ok, I am trying to create a website kind of like this site, but instead of portable apps it would be about music, so can anyone put this information of how I would go about doing this (IN ENGLISH)...(by which I mean something us NORMAL people who thought HTML was only in alphabet soup could understand...
SORRY IF I TYPE WEIRD IT JUST I TYPE SO FAST SO IT ALL SOUNDS GOOD TO ME BUT DON"T WORRY, IF YOU WERE TO MEET ME, YOU WOULD HAVE NO IDEA...

"Are you threatening a government official!?"
because
"WE! print the money"
"WE! tell you how to spend it"
and
"We BREED! the super soilders"

"Um...Forget that last part about the super soilders"

That's interesting!

I'm wondering why you would go to a web site about portable apps and ask for simple, detailed directions on how to create a web site that can be understood by someone who doesn't understand HTML. You might as well ask here about how to do brain surgery or building rocket ships.

Why don't you just go to Yahoo or Google?

Each one has an excellent search engine. Ask for HTML tutorial and you'll get millions of hits for web sites that SPECIALIZE IN TEACHING PEOPLE ALL ABOUT HTML.

That's the best advice I could give to someone who wants to learn all about web site creation.

k...

First: the simple(st) way: get Drupal. It is the closest to simple way of doing a website. You don't need to know PHP nor HTML nor CSS. But that doesn't mean it is easy...

Or the (almost) hardcore way: learn HTML and CSS. It is simpler than you think.

Here are some tuts:

HTML tut (I know it says it is CSS from the ground up, but it is an HTML tut)

CSS Tut

HTML Validator

CSS Validator

Or even the (really) hardcore way: learn PHP and all of the above! But that is soooo hard that I don't know it yet (but working on it).

Blue is everything.

I GETCHA NOW DUDES!

First, I noticed that I put J.T. in the title but he hasn't said anything yet...
Second, I get what you guys mean now with Google(not yahoo, yeah so I will work on this website thing and when I put it up, I'll use my real name...and I'll copyright the site, then I'll comeback and THANK this site for all it's help
Third, I would have rather come to this site because there are people here and not search engines.
Fourth, I know some html like the basic first line title and all that and the soup thing was kind of an unfunny joke...
So I'll do my best and work on it, (maybe hire a pro), and I'll get back to you guys PEACE OUT till i think of more things to ask...

Yeah, you are right. Sorry that it sounded a bit snarky.
