CamStudio

CamStudio is free and OpenSource. I used it for my PortableApps.com ads, it isn't very slow, and I like it. It supports mouse hidding/replacement/highlight, full screen recording, specific window recordings, or "follow the mouse" recording. It has enough features for me.

I don't think it is portable though. Can be made portable anyway as it is OSS.

Try it out and tell what you think.
