When I pull up Firefox Portable its blank not even a address bar. It has a blue bar at top with Firefox embalm and the - miinimize , restore and X close at top right. I need to get to my bookmarks. ( categories: )

Did you try a new install?
Make a copy of the "Profile" folder for backup and try another copy of firefox. Are you using FFP2 or FFP3?

just copy
just copy the profile file:
..your drive letter..:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Data\profile
and copy it to some backup place.
and under
..your drive letter.. F:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\App\firefox
you will find firefox.exe,
right click on it and then properties and under version, produktversion you will find what it is, if some 2.0.16 or other

i did that to my firefox it showed the same sreen

what did you do?
Backing up the profile? Well this is th eone thing, the do new install of FF, which version is then upto you.
Then try how FF works, it works I am sure.
Then you can restore the profile with the file backed up in the first step.
