Can't download AV definitons!

OS: WIN XP SP2
AV on computer: Avast Home edition
Firewall: Windows firewall
Active : AD-watch by Ad-Aware
Internet conect. : 56KBps (dial up)
ClamWin was instaled in to my flash memory, when I try to use him, he requesting AV definitions update. I try several times but there is no reply, "main cvd updateing"... how long to wait?

main.cvd is over 3 MB, so if you're on a slow 56K connection, it's going to take a while. If you're on broadband, then it shouldn't be taking that long... and I don't know what to tell you.

You can get the virus definitions without clamwin via
http://database.clamav.net/main.cvd http://database.clamav.net/daily.cvd
Then copy the downloaded main.cvd and daily.cvd to your database location which is specified in the ClamWin Preferences, File Locations tab. The default database location is: "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\.clamwin\db"
In this case, paste in your location where you save on portable media!
