Delete threads in beta testing that have been released.

I think the threads in beta testing that are no longer in testing (such as gimp 2.6.0, etc.) or multiple threads for the same app should be deleted so it's easier to browse through the apps currently being tested.

I think its better to leave them but close them (disable any more coments).

Well,

For what reasons should they be kept?

I will lock all old ones mentioned, but I won't be deleting any.

Answers for all...

Such threads should be locked, but kept for archive and reference. There can be useful things left in them, such as bug reports, links, comments, and other things that may be useful for later testing/publishes, etc.

As for bumping old threads, that's generally not on things that have been released. Sometimes they resurrect things that should be addressed, though more commonly not for useful purposes. I think that they way we do it is good, the main thing is remembering to ask a mod to lock the topic, for example I only just remembered to ask Patrick to lock the BPBible Portable Pre-Release thread, even though it was released over a week ago. (Oh, I do miss graphical smileys... Sad http://drupal.org/project/Smileys indicates that Smileys for 6.x is still at Alpha 1 Sad )

I disagree.

Remember when you could do cool things like link a smiley? Blum
