There is a portable Google Chrome

[link to site hosting illegal software removed by moderator JTH]

if you go to that page, they have a portable version for every new update, but portable apps should include something like this, and also include it on the PortableApps.com Suite and PortableApps.com Platform for thos of us who use Chrome, and not Firefox

I'm sure if it were OSS then

I'm sure if it were OSS then someone would have developed it in a full paf format to add to the suite but as it's closed-source it would need express permission from google in order to redistribute it. Also, currently closed-source apps can't be hosted on the site.

Yes, Google Chrome Is Completly OSS

Yes Google Chrome is completely OSS if toy read the story about how it was developed, located at: http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/small_02.html they mention Google chrome is completely open source software, i was also a big Google chrome user, but i witched back 2 Firefox because chrome has too many bugs right now.

Sorry, but...

Although the underlying "engine" and almost all Google Chrome is OSS, something on it (probably the branding) is not. That is why you see a license agreement page when you download from their site. That license isn't close from OSS.

The good news are that Chromium (the underlying "engine" I spoke above) is totally OSS, and if we download their binaries and make a portable app from them we are completely legal.

So don't say Chrome is OSS, say that Chromium is OSS (it may look as the same, but it is more accurate to say that).

Blue is everything.
