I tried downloading
I tried downloading again.
The same result.
I don't think it's a corrupted file.
What script is Firefox Portable refering to?
Thanks
which extension is it?
there are so many and there is no waranty that they do work in any case, so it can be bad file, simply missing some file in it.

Dissapointing that it doesn't
Dissapointing that it doesn't work.
If it doesn't work, it doesn't work.
Thanks for the help.
Drag and Drop
Drag the .xpi file onto an open Firefox window, and it should install.

J Neutron, I tried your suggestion.
It gives the same error message as in my first post above.
Thanks
I agree with you ottosykora.
I got the .xpi file from here:
http://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable#plugins
Its the Flash pluigin installed as an extension.
Thanks
ok have tested it
but it does not give any error in my case, it seems to try to install something, but when i t is finished, there is nothing installed.
I have therefore no idea if this extension really works. There are some other described installations procedures for flash, you might try those.

ok have the error
but only on FF3
on FF2 there is no error, but somehow the 'installation' goes on for ever, but it looks like there is nothing installed later.
Alldifficult to test, the local installation has flash in it, so all is mixing.

try this

looks it is kind of tricky with the flash etc.

Fake Extension
That flash installer isn't a real extension. It's a plugin installer masquerading as an extension. And it appears that it doesn't work as well as it used to (ask Adobe about that).
Don't bother with the complicated install instructions linked above, just use our automated flash installer:

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
John, your installer appears
John, your installer appears to work.
It installed the two files in my \FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox\plugins directory.
I can't check it properly now since I have the Flash installed on my computer already anyway. The browser showed flash content before.
What I don't understand is that now that it is installed into Firefox Portable why I cant see it in the Tools\Add-ons\Extensions or Plugins.
Thanks
