Application: Arora Web Browser
Category: Internet
Description: Arora is a simple cross platform web browser. Currently Arora is a very basic browser whose feature list includes things like "History" and "Bookmarks". But it is small, less than 10,000 lines of code, very fast, lean, mean and loads of fun to hack on. Arora and QtWebKit is developed to be cross-platform using the Qt library. It was originally created as a demo for Qt to help test the QtWebKit component and find API issues and bugs before the release. An older version can still be found in Qt's source code in the demo/browser directory. Arora works on Linux, OS X, Windows, FreeBSD, and embedded Linux using Qt Embedded. For more information check out the Arora Goals wiki page.

Release Notes:
Development Test 3 (2008-12-26):
- Since people are experiencing crashes removed upx compression to see if it helps
- updated Version info
- Fixed some stuff in the appinfo.ini file
Development Test 2 (2008-12-26):
- Now fully UPX'd (didn't work the first time around)
Development Test 1 (2008-12-26): Initial release
Plugin support won't exist until it starts being built with QT 4.5. I've used the Win32 dev builds and it does indeed seem like a very fast and lean browser. I see your version is Arora 4.5. If it means that it was built with QT 4.5 I would like to know.
I'm not trying to sway anyone from using this or even taking the time to make this a portable app, in fact I would like to see this added to the lists of portable apps. If it's not built with QT4.5 don't expect being able to go to any site that requires any sort of plugin (YouTube for example).
I tried your test build, it crashed while starting up on my Vista x64 Home Premium laptop.
Now we have a Gecko and a WebKit browser!
Seems good, but it crashes on my Wine install (the browser itself doesn't start, the launcher starts and some seconds later it closes, so I assume that the problem is on the browser itself, or on WINE itself).
But keep up the great work, this will attract lots of Web Developers.
Blue is everything.
In the end I gave them to Zach Thibeau on IRC... look at the IRC logs to find them
Edit: ptmb, robojerk, everyone: DT2 is broken, its compression broke it after all

uh... it's 0.4, not 4.0 :/
I'll try it again soon but not today.

Since the last activity dates 1 year ago and the Link to Dev Test 3 opens just an empty page, there's the one from Sourceforge, already packed as portableapps-app

Last Update: 2013-04-10
Also note it is not in Portableapps format either

is not in Portableapps Format?
Anyway, if i start Arora as portable app, i get APPCRASH cause of QtWebKit4.dll located in /App/Arora.
Edit:
Oops. As i look for the sourcecode, there's DevTest 3. That one works.

But still: "SSL handshake failed"
