I am using nvu; can I switch to Kompozer automatically? How? or do I have to redo all the pages of my website? I am not very good at this and do not want to jeopardize my website...Thank you. ( categories: )

Yup
You can install KompoZer right next to Nvu and then open any pages created with Nvu within KompoZer. Once you're happy with KompoZer, you can just delete Nvu Portable.
