Have you looked on Wayback Machine. It's a internet archive.
I only had a chance to look through a couple dates and did not see the images. Usually its a crap shoot to see if on a particular day the images were chached.

believe that the images are blocked by the robots.txt file (or so the archive claims) so they wont be there I am afriad.
well since the icons were based off of the tango Icon set. I believe I can modify it enough to match the old ones.

Zach was it you who made a copy or did John find them?
I had em locally. I didn't want to go through the hassle of a restore from backup at the host, hence the delay.

They're creative commons. It's mentioned on the copyright page. Copyright goes to the Tango project and me for the modifications. You can use em on the site you just have to credit them somewhere.
