DropboxPortable is now available at the Dropbox forums: http://forums.getdropbox.com/topic.php?id=7729
the forum post mentioned above is closed and DropboxPortable is discontinued. http://wiki.dropbox.com/DropboxAddons/DropboxPortable
it looks to me this news is updated on 2010-08-30 and there's just no pointers to what we can do from now on. the only thing I could find was a link to another project: http://wiki.dropbox.com/DropboxAddons/DropboxU3 problem is U3 also seems to be discontinued but I can't be sure from the wiki article or from their broken website.
this is all so weird...
this kind of thing would make the perfect complement to portableapps and pendrives... after all, dropbox always labeled itself as a online replacement to pendrive. I just don't fully replace it cuz I like redundancy for backups.

that looks nice, shipperfiction. maybe it's the same thing I'm going to post... I just found this:
http://wiki.dropbox.com/DropboxAddons/DropboxPortable?action=fullsearch&...
which led me to the portable version I'm trying right now, and it's working so far!

Portable, USB, Media Device compatible, but looks like it is not Stealth: leaves a few registry entries but looks like just from Windows.. im in the process of testing.
