bin to isoSubmitted by FluXulF on March 4, 2009 - 5:44am
Is there a free, open source and portable app. which can convert cue/bin to iso? I know you can extract files from either type with e.g. 7-Zip and you can burn (and possibly make?) both types with InfraRecorder, but I need an app. which can convert from one format to another. ( categories: )

Maybe
I think ImgBurn can do it, but I'm not sure if it's open source or not. It's freeware though, I know that much.
I know it can make a .iso from a disc or from files/folders, but what I don't know is if it can go from one to the other. It's a very extensive program.
If you had an image mounting application, you could mount a bin and have it convert it to an iso, I know that for sure.
PortableFreeware describes how to make it portable and even stealthy:

Seems relatively easy. I'm actually going to do this when I get home; I'm trying to portabalize my applications across the board wherever possible.

Universal Extractor has some
Universal Extractor has some form of bin2iso utility within it, or you could try this:

Twoflower: Rincewind, I think there's a broomstick in this cupboard.
Rincewind: Well, what's so unusual about that?
Twoflower: This one's got handlebars.
Thanks for the quick replies.
Thanks for the quick replies. I'm gonna check out both.
Hmm,
why not open the image with InfraRecorder Portable and burn/save it to another image format?
Exactly because I want to
Exactly because I want to SAVE it and you can only burn and not save with InfraRecorder as far as I can see.
I've ripped several ISO's with Infrarecorder...
I've never tried going between 2 formats... but I know it can rip an ISO easy...
