Somewhere I read you can access Skype using Miranda is this true and if so how easily is this done?

I stand corrected, [ that's why I said I think ] could not find that notation at other sites, this is the first I've heard of it.

A search of the miranda wiki site yielded almost nothing on the plugin referred to

That's the google search I did.

http://addons.miranda-im.org/details.php?action=viewfile&id=3200 may be the right link to the addon. Not sure though. The miranda-im site is blocked where I am right now.

why not use the skype software itself? There's launchers running around in the forums.
