I want to change the spash screen to a firefox splash I made :)richpimp - May 13, 2006 - 3:13am
what do i have to do or change in order to change the splash to my own firefox picture? let me know and thanks! I love having firefox in my usb flash drive! »

Recompile
You'll need to recompile the PortableFirefox.exe launcher. The source is included in the Other\PortableFirefoxSource directory as an .nsi file. You'll need NSIS to compile it as well as the newadvsplash and FindProcDLL plugins.

can u help me out... what program do i use to do this? please give me step by step if you can. i just want to use my cool firefox splash screen.
Ok i got NSIS
Ok i am compiling the PortableFirefox.nsi script and i see many errors.
I already got the NSIS program and the plugins..not sure where to put the 2 plugins i downloaded.
I saw a sample script that came with the NSIS program:

...but where do i put all of the firefox nsis code? help me please. I just want to be able and change my splash screen :'(.
The plugins go in C:\Program Files\NSIS\Plugins
then replace the jpg in PortableFirefoxCode with your splash and compile the .nsi

How do i change the thunderbird splash? i already have the nsis program. just need to know what i have to do to change thunderbird splash to my new custom thunderbird splash screen!

My copy of Firesomething doesn't have an option to add a splash screen, Ryan... only one to change the About dialog branding.

Hmm...
But then I'm stuck with the splash screen as the About picture, too. I like Firefox's built-in About picture better.

Same deal except on GTalk
I've done the same steps outlined here, but I get an error
