E-mails with attachments cause Thunderbird Portable to close and flip back to desktop. Any suggestions? Thanks! ( categories: )

Thunderbird itself
This sounds like a problem in Thunderbird itself. Could you please try doing the same with a local installation of Thunderbird, and say if it crashes as well?

Attachments will not open

The local installation behaves the same way.
Any attempt to open an email with an attachment causes Thunderbird to close and flip back to the desktop screen. Trying to open Attachment category on the options will cause the same thing. No evil bug has shown up on the security scan yet either, so??

I suggest that you report this to Mozilla, or just ask them on IRC about it, they may be able to help you. (If you don't know how to use IRC, try using Mibbit with server irc.mozilla.org and channel #thunderbird.)
