On June 29th at approximately 4pm NY time, another power issue caused part of RackSpace's Dallas Fort Worth data center to go down (taking RackSpace.com with it this time). As with last weekend, this hard crash of the server corrupted our database table space and, after power was restored, it took several hours to get up and running again and ensure that everything was preserved. No data was lost and all database indexes are intact.
We will be discussing additional contingency plans with RackSpace as well as exploring other hosting providers to ensure that this does not happen again. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
The site is back up and running now, so feel free to grab some apps.
All the best,
John
John, so sorry about the outage. We work hard to prevent this, and really feel these failures. We are committed to do what it takes to prevent them.
We should have an update on our blog tomorrow with root cause.
Rob

Hey John,
Give http://www.nac.net/ a look. Call sales and ask for Scott. We use these guys and have been thoroughly happy. We've have no host related downtime.
It sounds like someone could use the services of http://www.r1soft.com/ . Their systems are never down. They host websites and support companies that do also.
