ClamWin: Problems Downloading updates from definition database

When I go to download them, I get this message: ClamAV update process started at Fri Jul 24 11:00:55 2009
nonblock_connect: giving up due to excessive bogus loops
Can't connect to port 80 of host database.clamav.net (IP: 127.0.0.1)
WARNING: Can't download main.cvd from database.clamav.net
Trying again in 5 secs...

From what it looks like is the database download site is blocked. that site must be blocked with a software which modifies your hosts file to block certain addresses the IT doesn't want you to access. Also it may be a virus which is preventing you from getting the updates (for obvious reasons).
The IP of database.clamav.net should be 62.26.160.3 according to an IP trace I did. Yours is showing as 127.0.0.1. 127.0.0.1 is the computer you are on's IP. Is this your personal computer or a school/work/public computer?

This right here is the best way to do it. From what I remember, the automatic update doesn't work well when it isn't blocked, but you can download those and put them in the appropriate directory. ClamWinPortable\app\ClamWin\bin IIRC, but do a Windows search on either CVD file and find where your existing ones are, then just download the new ones over the old.
