Changing the Name of my Flash Drive

In the PortableApps.com Menu, just click on the name in the lower left and type a new one. It names it in autorun.inf (where you can change it by editing the file) which Windows doesn't understand with the rename function in Explorer.

Yeah, autorun.inf overrides the volume label. It also points to the icon, so you can throw any icon in the root directory and add icon=whatever.ico to the autorun.inf file. When you eject your drive and put it back in, it will have the icon you indicated in the file. Pretty handy stuff.
