Slax??

I think Slax(http://slax.linux-live.org/) is a good choice.

What do you mean ? Slax is a linux live distros, not an application ???

you could just copy all the Slax content from the CD to your USB drive, then boot the cd and type in 'slax nocd' at the boot section

I know it's not portable. Actually it's already portable I heard someone talking about portable (live) linux releases so i posted my opinion.
