I just installed it on my computer, and it leaves some folders behind:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\.gconf
C:\Documents and Settings\User\.gconfd
C:\Documents and Settings\.recently-used.xbel
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\gedit
I don't know about registry...
