DVDFlick

Program: DVDFlick

Website: http://www.dvdflick.net/

License: GPL

Description: DVD Flick aims to be a simple but at the same time powerful DVD Authoring tool. It can take a number of video files stored on your computer and turn them into a DVD that will play back on your DVD player, Media Center or Home Cinema Set. You can add additional custom audio tracks, subtitles as well as a menu for easier navigation.

Note: DVD Flick has a portable switch but I'm not sure of how thorough it is.

I've had this on the "have a look" list for a while. I know one of it's components is the closed source ImgBurn, which we could get around with a PAF Live but the version it uses is constantly behind the latest and isn't even available for download on the ImgBurn site last time I looked. So I don't know what the compatibility situation is there.

All this is just off the top of my head so feel free to correct me.

I too would like to see this.

I too would like to see this. IT is a really good and simple way to convert and create DVD´s from many different file types.

I too would really like this...IF it could be made portable. The portable switch doesn't work for me. Just causes an error.

ImgBurn

ImgBurn shouldn't be necessary. Is it? If it's open source, the best move would be to sever its contact with an old version of ImgBurn. There already is a portable ImgBurn that uses the PAF Live installer, and if DVD Flick can spit out an .iso file, ImgBurn can burn that. Besides, if someone wants DVD Flick, they probably already have ImgBurn, so they shouldn't need to have a second copy, especially if that second copy is outdated.
