Application: modplug
Category: Music & Video
License: GNU GPL
Language: English
Description: If you've ever dreamed of creating your own music, you've just found the perfect tool to do so! If you have a Windows-based PC, you can use the MODPlug Tracker (MPT) to discover the music inside!

ModPlug Tracker makes use of features common to Microsoft Windows programs, such as context menus for effect selection, "tree" views for files, samples, and patterns, and drag-and-drop functionality throughout. It supports both loading and saving of IT (Impulse Tracker), XM (FastTracker Extended Module), MOD and S3M (Soundtracker) files, loads many sample file formats, and has some support for DLS banks and soundfonts.

Release Notes:

1.17.02.54 Development Test 1 (2009-11-26): Initial release

Notes:
I don't know much about mods & trackers to be honest (mods & rockers yes!) but dealt with all the obvious things the app does on launch. So I haven't really tested it too much. It creates the reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\ModPlugPlayer (which is taken care of) but I'm not sure how crucial that is so maybe it requires admin rights? Let me know how it goes.

No UPX yet.

Tested with:
XP Home SP2 (Admin)

Nice, Key

Nice, I was looking at this yesterday. I used to do MODs myself.

Handle the key like any other. Check for admin rights, backup and restore. It's only used by this app, so you don't have to worry about collisions.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Nice!, Thanks

Well, it's nice see this thread about my favourite tracker, and after some months my request has been made reality Eye-wink
