Leochan - June 17, 2010 - 10:12am

The latest version is still have the problem, it will create a new data base after exiting the program. The old date base will become ***.bak.

Could you please explain the problem more? PuTTY's settings are registry-based, so they end up in a file, called, I think, putty_portable.reg. Are you talking about PuTTY Portable or something else?

trial to use unportable regeytry into puttyportable fails

Hi
I am replying here because I guess I have the same problem.
I got my reg-file from regestry as it is discribed on this page:
http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2007/02/01/howto-transfer-your-putty-s...
Then I put this file with the name putty.reg int the folder E:\PuTTYPortable\Data\settings while E: is my USB drive.
when launching putty-portable it renames my putty.re into putty.reg.old and writes down a default putty.reg. in other words it does not work.
what do I do wrong here. I am using putty releas 0.60 that is just donwloaded so it should be the current version (even though its copy right is from 2007).

I also found explanations from 2007 with new versions that are suppose to fix some trouble, but those fixes seem not available anymore.

Thanks for any hint
