Chrome Portable's vertical tabscuriosit_e - August 12, 2010 - 1:22pm
Does anyone knows where to place the --enable-vertical-tabs option to make the portable show the tabs in such way? ( categories: )

Copy over
Copy over [X]:\PortableApps\GoogleChromePortable\Other\Source\GoogleChromePortable.ini to [X]:\PortableApps\GoogleChromePortable. Then open up the file, and add -enable-vertical-tabs to the Additional Parameters option.

Am I right in thinking that an analogous ini file is not available in the original or non-portable version? I found the ini file pretty nifty! Thanks to whoever came up with it.

The way I've being doing it
The way I've being doing it in WinXP3 is to edit the "target" in Properties. So, for example, ~ChromePortable.exe would become ~ChromePortable.exe -[em]whichever switch you want[/em]
With more recent Chrome versions a single - does the job. There's no need for --.
