Can't find the file
ineiti - November 4, 2006 - 11:07amHello Baschti,
I'm very interested in the portable Kompozer! Unfortunatly the file is not on the webpage anymore...
As I'm here in Tchad, the connections are pretty slow, and I can't download lots of stuff to try to recompile
Would it be possible you put the file up somewhere? If you want, you can contact me, and I can put it up on my webpage:

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Baschti - November 29, 2006 - 5:18pmUnfortunatly i haven't the file anymore... i never used it, only for testing. i use "html editor phase 5" (not portable yet)... i may rebuilt it, or you make it on your own, as i said it. just recompile the launcher after replacing the string "nvu" with "kompozer", and rebuilt the folder-tree. or use ini-settings like john said

Considering it
I'm considering it. I'd probably add it right to the NVU page. You can use the current NVUPortable launcher with it just by setting INI options. I'm just trying to figure out how it will fit into the directoy, since it will be going away once NVU/Composer2 is released.

regarding a portable kompozer:
go to their webpage at sourceforge here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=170132
and download the zip file for windows. i guess this link should work for download:

Seeking clarification...
Preacher - March 6, 2007 - 1:18pmThe NVU/KompoZer page here states
"KompoZer is an unofficial bug-fix release for Nvu that fixes many of the outstanding bugs in Nvu 1.0"
If the current NVU version offered here is "v1.0, rev4", are we to understand that KompoZer is a fix for said "rev 4" of NVU, and that the bugs referred to are therefore present EVEN after 4 revisions?... Just looking for clarification here before I DL the thang, thx.

Nvu itself
There are bugs in Nvu 1.0 itself. KompoZer is an attempt to fix those bugs. But it can't be called Nvu since that trademark is owned by Linspire. So, yes, KompoZer (any version) comes "after" Nvu 1.0.
