Autorun problem

Why is the portableapps icon not shown in the autorun launch list? This is my autorun.inf

[autorun]
open=StartPortableApps.exe
Action=Start PortableApps.com
Icon=PortableApps\PortableApps.com\App\Graphics\usb.ico

Autorun for usb was never enabled on windows 7. Patches a month ago disabled it on xp and vista as well.

Are you talking about

Are you talking about Microsoft disabling autorun for USB drives or your you saying that portableapps.com has disabled protableapps from auto running? I have a fully updated XP Pro system and every USB drive I stick in it autoruns. I don't have a problem with my USB drives running. What I want to know is why the portableapps icon is missing from the launch list that comes up after Windows auotruns the USB drive. You know the one that says, "This disk or device contains more then one type of media. What do you want windows to do?" And then it list the different programs that can be used to open the files on the drive. The portable apps icon use to be included in that list, and now it is not. That is what I want to know, why?

They've disabled it. See my comment here.

Microsoft Disabled It

As kAlug says above, Microsoft disabled it. Autoplay works just fine (the list of media and options you see). Autorun (which enabled the PortableApps.com icon to appear in the Autoplay list) is now dead for USB drives.

Okay. So Microsoft targeted

Okay. So Microsoft targeted portableapps specifically, right? Why? Was it a security issue or are they just being spiteful?
