"another instance of firefox is already running" problem after autoupdate to 1.5.0.7batorok - September 19, 2006 - 10:55am
Hi, the title says it all. I can't find any parent.lock file to delete, but I just cant get it to start. the regular firefox link in the app folder works though... any ideas? I sure miss my installed toolbars and tab manager »

Make sure you don't have
Make sure you don't have another Firefox running. If parent.lock doesn't exist in your profile folder, you probably have a locally installed copy of it running.

Look
in task manager to see if there is a firefox.exe process, if there is and you can't see it, it may have crashed. You could kill it from the task manager and try again. On the other hand if you just updated it could be that you started it once and it is just taking a while to apply the update.
