im not sure how recently it was done, but the game maker 8 pro portable app has been taken off the site. im not willing to resort to cracks and junk like that, but i am not looking to pay for old software either. i am requesting (although maybe in the wrong place) that game maker 8.0 is restored to the website. it is used by programming and robotics students as part of the curriculum and serves a great creative outlet for those with their own ideas on games.

We never made it available here as that would be illegal. It's likely another site cracked it and made it available using our software illegally. There's a good chance it had malware in it, too, as that is how most of those sites operate.
The only thing ever available here is a launcher to allow you to make your existing legal copy of Game Maker portable by copying the files to your flash drive.

Fair enough then. I wasn't aware of the probability of external crackers. But as i said before, the software was previously available through the site. Is there anything i as a user can do to prevent or report such instances?
There is a launcher available here. To my knowledge, Game Maker itself has never been available here and the forum mods are quick to edit such posts and ban folks who insist on posting illegal software. As mentioned, there are illegal sites that provide it. One steals our trademark and attempts to pass themselves off as part of us for some reason. You likely obtained it from there.

Wandering if anyone can help.
I am currently using Game Maker 8.1 to make a Windows program. It works fine, But I have an issue. When the game is left running and you Sleep then Wake up the PC (Or lock then unlock) the game then becomes unresponsive.
In some cases you can see the screen and press buttons on it, but nothing changes on the screen... as in it doestn redraw etc...
So i need a solution.
It used to work fine on Game Maker 8 but the Pro version doesnt work due to SoftWarp server issues.
So what can I do?
Is this a known bug with GM 8.1?
Can i get a cracked version of GM 8 which doesnt require licence key. As the licence key I have for it obv wont work
We support users making software portable with our Launcher (if it is legal to do so), otherwise we support the bits that make the software we release portable.
We don't really support the base apps themselves even where we do have a portable version (unless it is something fairly basic and easy to answer, then we might, but no guarantees), and we definitely don't support software we have nothing to do with like Game Maker.
Otherwise we definitely will not help you with cracking software illegally. We only deal with legal software on this site.
